After initially being active as employees in Restaurant Allure, Terry Priem and Brian Bennink took over the restaurant in 2011. Their philosophy was (and is): Give Restaurant Allure the kind of allure that is needed to change 'just going out for dinner' into a personal experience.
The number of tableswas reducedto createamorespatial experience, staff from renowned restaurants was hired, themenuwas thoroughly reviewedand, from that moment on, only the best ingredients were going to pass the restaurant’s threshold.
The result? In 2011, De Gouden Pollepel (the culinary competition of the daily paper Algemeen Dagblad) described Restaurant Allure as ‘A culinary pleasure boat trip’.
Terry Priem – Chef de Cuisine
Before Terry became a co-owner of Allure, he worked in several renowned restaurants. Terry is always in search of taste sensations, such as his now well-known and beloved slowly cooked salmon with curry ice cream. His motto: ‘You’ll have to do it together!’.
Brian Bennink – Maître
After graduating from the Hoge Hotelschool, co-owner Brian worked in various outstanding establishments. Along with Terry and his team, he guarantees an unforgettable evening. His detailed explanation about the dishes and expert notes on the wines complete the experience.
Frank van Rijsbergen – Sous Chef
Frank is Terry’s right hand. Trained at the famous Hotel School Ter Duinen in Belgium and internships that include two-star restaurant La Sarté in Spain. Next to preparing the finest cuisine, Frank also specializes in pattiserie.
Ricardo van der Zwet - Assistant Maître
During and after his studies at the hotel school Zadkine, Frank has experienced different sides of the hospitality industry. He has, in addition an excellent knowledge of wine and sense of hospitality, a broad knowledge of cheese. No wonder he recently won the ‘Best Fromager 2016’ award!
Restaurant Allure is located directly at the Entrepothaven harbour in the southern part of Rotterdam. The location is characterized by a cozy, maritime atmosphere in an area with a rich history. Just in front of Allure’s doors there is a jetty where the water taxi or your own boat can moor. A temporary mooring permit can be arranged. Please ask for this while making your reservation. Our restaurant is also easily accessibley car. The parking lot of the Entrpothaven offers ample parking space.
